Appeal for information after men rob Sandiacre hotel

Posted on 17th November 2014

Three masked men stole cash from a hotel in Sandiacre during a robbery in the early hours of the morning.

The offenders threatened a member of staff at the Best Western hotel in Bostocks Lane and forced them to hand over money.

No one was injured in the robbery, which happened at about 2am on Saturday, November 15, but staff were left shaken.

The offenders left the hotel through the front entrance and drove off.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area around the time of the offence or a car leaving the hotel area at speed.

All three robbers were described as white, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 9ins, in their mid-20s and with local or East Midlands accents.

They all wore black clothing including hooded waterproof jackets with the hoods up, and scarves covering the lower part of their faces.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 48446/14.

You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
