Pedestrian dies after collision in Derby

A man who was involved in a collision with a car in Derby yesterday has died.

The incident happened at the junction of Stockbrook Street and Abbey Street at about 9.35am.

A Vauxhall Meriva was in collision with a 74-year-old man, who suffered severe head injuries.

He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, where he later died.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to call 101, quoting incident number 163 of November 18.
