Man robbed in Hadfield

Police are appealing for information following a street robbery in Hadfield.

Officers were called to an incident where a man was attacked by two men in the Newshaw Lane area of Hadfield between 5 and 6pm on Wednesday, November 19.

The victim, a 48-year-old man was grabbed by one of the suspects who took his wallet from his back pocket and emptied it of cash. The second suspect took a sharp instrument and repeatedly cut the victim’s face causing minor injuries.

The suspect who injured the man is described as white, in his 30s with a stocky build. He is around 5ft 10ins and has short cropped hair.

The suspects are believed to have made off in a dark coloured saloon car.
