Police have released CCTV stills of a man they want to speak to in connection with a robbery in Derby.

A 53-year-old woman was approached on Becket Street by a man who tried to grab her bag.

The offender failed to get the bag but grabbed cash from inside and ran off.

Officers investigating the offence have now issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.

The man was captured on camera wearing a distinctive white jacket with red sleeves, grey or white trousers and a black hat.

Anyone who might recognise the man by the clothing shown in the CCTV images should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 42536/14.

The robbery happened at about 3pm on Tuesday, October 7.
