Police make arrests in connection with a robbery in Derby

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of committing an armed robbery on Arthur Street in Derby.

Police carried out a number of search warrants in Derby last night (Tuesday November 25) and arrested a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old youth at a house in Woolrych Street.  Officers are continuing their enquiries to trace a third suspect.

Both detainees remain in police custody and will be questioned today.

The robbery happened at 6.45pm on Saturday November 22 at the Good Cheers convenience store.  The store assistant was threatened and money was stolen.
