Woman receives prison sentence after being found guilty of domestic assault.
Julie Witcomb (47) of Shakespeare Close, Kidsgrove, appeared at Derby Crown Court and was sentenced this morning (Tuesday, November 3) to 34 months imprisonment after pleading guilty to a domestic violence assault at her ex-girlfriends address in Alvaston.
Witcomb was arrested on December 31, 2013 and charged with Section 20 grievous bodily harm and arson.
The victim suffered a ruptured spleen which was removed during emergency surgery.
