A 26-year-old man has been sentenced to four years imprisonment after police executed a search of a vehicle in Derby.
At around 10am on Tuesday, May 6 officers carried out a search on an unoccupied vehicle on Hutton Street in Allenton, and discovered a quantity of suspected class a and class b controlled drugs.
Omar Abbas Hussain (26) of Hutton Street, Allenton was charged with possession with intent to supply a class a controlled drug.
Hussain was sentenced to four years imprisonment after pleading guilty at Derby Crown Court on Friday, September 26.
DC Kam Sanghera of the Derby Proactive Unit said: “This case is an illustration of how we will not tolerate drugs activity on our streets.
“I would like to encourage all residents to come forward and report any suspected drugs activity to us as we do act on the intelligence that you provide.”
