Jewellery among items stolen from West Hallam home during the day

Burglars stole a large amount of jewellery from a house in West Hallam after breaking in through a back window.

The offenders forced their way into a house in High Lane East between 10am and 1.30pm on Wednesday, October 1.

An 18ct gold engagement ring, an 18ct gold plain band wedding ring, a gold ring with pink and purple garnets, and an 18ct gold bracelet with a gold clasp were among the items taken.

A Raymond Weil ladies’ wristwatch and a Casio watch for men were also among the items stolen along with earrings, necklaces and cash.

Police investigating the burglary want to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area at the time, or who might have been offered jewellery for sale recently.
