Man assaulted as he walked home in Chapel-en-le-Frith

Police are appealing for information after a man suffered head and facial injuries during an assault in Chapel-en-le-Frith.

The 43-year-old victim was walking along Park Road after a night out with friends when he was shoved from behind and fell to the floor.

He was then kicked and punched several times and knocked unconscious during the assault, which happened between 2am and 4am on Sunday, September 21.

The victim was taken to Stepping Hill Hospital, in Stockport, and treated for head and facial injuries.

Police investigating the offence want to hear from witnesses or anyone who might know the people responsible.
