Police appeal after sentimental pictures are stolen from a house in Wirksworth.

Sometime between Thursday, September 25 at 7pm and Friday, September 26 at 6.15pm a house on Nursery Croft was broken into.

The house was entered through an insecure door and an iPad and an amount of cash was stolen.

DC Tim Lambert from Matlock CID said: “The iPad contained a number of sentimental pictures of the homeowners deceased wife. We would urge anyone buying a second hand iPad to check the images.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Matlock CID using the non-emergency number 101.”
