Derby detectives appeal for information following alleged street robbery

Officers investigating an alleged street robbery in Derby are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

At 6.10pm on Tuesday, October 7, a 23-year-old man was walking along Shaftesbury Street in Derby when he was approached by two youths.  

The pair threatened the man and demanded that he handed over his Apple iPhone 5S. The victim handed over his phone and the teenagers, who were believed to be aged 15/16-years-old, then ran off.  

The boy was described as white, 5 ft 7 tall, and of slim build. He had short dark hair and was wearing a colourful cap and hoody, with a black t-shirt, and bagging trousers.

The girl was described as black, 5 ft 8 tall, and of slim build. She had long, dark braided hair and was wearing all dark clothing.

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact DC Manjit Rigby on 101, quoting crime reference 42443-14.
