Man charged following alleged assault in Derby

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with an assault where the victim’s phone and jacket were allegedly stolen.

At around 11:30pm on Thursday, August 21, two 17-year-old youths were walking along Little Hallam Lane in Ilkeston when they were followed by two others.

The offenders began making conversation with the victims before punching them in the face and kicking them to the ground. A leather jacket and a black Huawei mobile phone were also stolen.

Dale Clarke (28) of St. Norbert Drive, Ilkeston has been charged with robbery of personal property and is set to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 31.
