Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery at Snape Stores in Dronfield.

The robbery happened at 1.15pm yesterday (Tuesday October 21) at the shop on Snape Hill Crescent when three masked men went in and demanded money.

One man, who was carrying a knife, threatened the shopkeeper and told him to open the till.  The shopkeeper refused, locked the till and then locked himself in the back room of the shop.

The men left with some cigarettes and chocolate, which they put in an Iceland carrier bag, and headed up Snape Hill Close.

All three men were white and dressed in hoodies and jeans or tracksuit bottoms.

The shopkeeper was shocked but uninjured.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the men either before or after the robbery to contact them on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
