Man assaulted with knife in Glossop

Police appeal for witnesses after a man was assaulted with a knife in Glossop.

On Thursday, October 23 at approximately 7.45pm three men entered a house on Scotty Brook Crescent and demanded money.

They assaulted a man with a knife and fled via a rear door and it is thought they may have ran onto fields at the back of the property.

The men were described as wearing dark clothing and all had their faces covered.

Officers investigating would like anyone to contact them that may have seen people running or acting suspiciously in the Whitfield area, Cross Cliff or the Shirebrook Park Estate between 7pm and 7.50pm.

Police would also like to appeal to residents in the area that have CCTV at their property to contact them.

The man suffered cuts to his head and hands and is being treated at Stepping Hill Hospital.
