Appeal for witnesses after reports that man jumped from bridge in Derby

Police appeal for witnesses after receiving reports that a man jumped off of a bridge into the River Derwent.

On Saturday, October 25 at approximately 7.40pm a man was seen to jump from Exeter Bridge in Derby City Centre into the River Derwent.

Police and the fire service have carried out extensive searches but the man has still not been found.

He was described as bald, of a stocky build and in his 50s.

Anyone who was in the area at the time or along the banks of the river and saw anyone fitting this description is asked to contact Sgt Chris Wilkinson at St Marys Wharf police station using the non-emergency 101 number. Please quote incident number 659 of October 25.
