Cannabis grower locked up after drugs warrant at Long Eaton house

A 26-year-old man has been jailed for eight months after police found cannabis plants in his house during a drugs warrant.

Officers executed the warrant at an address in Gibb Street, Long Eaton, in the early hours of February 27, 2014.

They found a number of cannabis plants growing inside the address, along with various items of growing equipment.

Liam Brinley was arrested at the scene and later charged with producing the class B controlled drug and possessing class A drugs.

The 26-year-old, of Gibb Street, Long Eaton, was sentenced to eight months in prison at Derby Crown Court on Friday, October 10.
