Man hit by a car in Chesterfield

Police were called to Gloucester Road at 1.40pm today, Friday, October 31, to reports that a man had been hit by a car.

The 59-year-old man was taken to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A man has been arrested and is currently being interviewed by officers.

Police would like to thank the residents in the area of Gloucester Road for their help and co-operation.
