Appeal for witnesses after woman has money stolen in Derby city centre

Police appeal for witnesses after a man stole money from a woman in Derby city centre.

On Tuesday, October 7 at 3pm a man approached a woman on Beckett Street. He started to talk to her and then tried to grab her handbag. He then forced his hand into her bag and took an amount of cash from within it.

The man then ran down Beckett Street and turned towards the city centre. He was described as white, 6ft tall with blonde hair and was wearing a cream and brown beanie type hat.
