Boy threatened by robbers who force him to hand over his phone

A 12-year-old boy was forced to hand over his mobile phone by three robbers who threatened him with a knife.

The victim had been playing football with friends on a park off Willson Avenue, Littleover, when the three offenders tried to join in.

Shortly afterwards, one of the robbers started arguing with the victim and a second pushed him to the floor.

The robbers then threatened the 12-year-old with a small knife and took his phone – a Motorola XT1039 – before riding off.

The incident happened at about 1.15pm on Friday, September 5.

All three offenders were Asian. One was aged about 14, around 5ft 8in, of skinny build and with short black hair. The second was aged around 12, 5ft 1in, of skinny build and with black hair that was shaved at the side but longer on top. The third offender was 12, 5ft 5in, of skinny build and with short black hair.

Anyone who recognises those descriptions or has information on the robbery should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 37593/14.
