Two arrested after assault leaves men needing hospital treatment

Two people were arrested after an assault in Ilkeston left two people needing hospital treatment.

Police were called to The Triangle, in Ilkeston, after reports of two groups of people fighting.

A 21-year-old man was injured and a 22-year-old man suffered a deep cut to his face during the incident, which happened at about 1.25am on Saturday, September 6.

They were both taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where the 22-year-old received stitches for his injury.

Two men, aged 18 and 20, were arrested in connection with the offence and have been bailed pending further inquiries.
