Witness appeal after caravan is destroyed in suspicious fire

Police are appealing for information after a fire which engulfed a caravan in Belper was found to be suspicious.

The caravan was parked at a property in Hayfield Close when it caught fire at about 2am on Wednesday, September 10.

A joint investigation was carried out by Derbyshire Fire and Rescue and the incident is now being treated as arson.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area around the time or might know the people responsible.
