Police have confirmed the name of a man who was found dead at a property in Ilkeston.
Emergency services were called to a flat in Charlotte Street at about 5.40am on Thursday, September 11 after reports that two men had been seriously injured.
Paul Averill, aged 30 (pictured right), was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man was taken to hospital with suspected stab wounds and is in a serious but stable condition.
A murder investigation was launched after the incident, which led to part of Charlotte Street being shut for 30 hours.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday and remains in custody.
