A prisoner who absconded from HMP Sudbury earlier this year has been jailed for escaping from lawful custody.
Andrew Taylor was serving part of an 88-month sentence for robbery when he left Sudbury open prison on August 28.
The 25-year-old was recaptured just two days later at a property in Boythorpe Road, Chesterfield, and was subsequently charged with escaping from lawful custody.
Taylor, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty at Derby Crown Court on Monday, September 15.
He was sentenced to seven months in prison, which will be added on to his 88-month term.
Taylor was given his original sentence at Derby Crown Court in February 2013.
