Three arrests after robbery at Spondon convenience store

Three men have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a convenience store in Spondon.

Police were called to the Co-operative store in Sitwell Street at about 8.50pm on Monday, September 15 to reports of a robbery.

Four masked men entered the shop and threatened staff and customers, before making off with a quantity of cash.

A cordon has been set up in the area and part of Sitwell Street remains closed while an investigation is carried out.

Three men, aged 23, 35 and 38, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and are currently being questioned by detectives.

Witnesses or anyone with information on the robbery should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting incident 774 of September 15.
