Derby man receives seven year sentence for robbery

A man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for a robbery in Derby.

On Monday, June 16 2014, a 22-year-old man was assaulted and robbed when walking along Monk Street.

Sean Slater (34) from Northumberland Street, Derby was arrested and subsequently charged with robbery of personal property in Derby on Tuesday, June 17.

Slater appeared at Derby Crown Court on Friday, September 19 and was sentenced to seven years in prison and ordered to pay £120 victim surcharge.
