Nottinghamshire Police officers were called to Sainsbury’s in Nottingham Road, Mansfield, at about 12.50pm on Monday, September 15.

An 80-year-old woman reported having her purse stolen while she was shopping. She later discovered that money had been taken from her savings accounts and high value electrical items were purchased from shops in Chesterfield.

Police would speak to two men and a woman captured on CCTV in connection with the theft.

They are all described as white. The woman pictured was aged between 40 and 50, of chunky build and with fair hair. She wore a white t-shirt and beige trousers.

One of the men was wearing a blue top, jeans and a white cap. The second was wearing a green and brown striped jumper, blue jeans and a dark blue cap.

They left the area in a dark grey Toyota Yaris which has a distinctive chequered pattern on the bonnet and rear boot lid.
