A man has been arrested after a boy was assaulted on a bus.

On April 2, Derbyshire police released an image of a man they wanted to speak to about the incident, which happened on a number 90 Trent Barton bus on Thursday, January 15, when the bus was driving along The Green, Swanwick.

A 15-year-old schoolboy was approached by a man who grabbed him by his coat and pulled him up from his seat, taking his glasses and throwing them down the bus.

A 30-year-old man from Ironville has been arrested in connection with the crime, interviewed and released on bail while inquiries continue.

Police would like to thank those members of the public who rang in following the appeal.
