Man charged with two counts of attempted murder after two men are assaulted

A man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after two men were assaulted in Derby.

Joseph Walker (21), of Sinfin Lane, Derby, has also been charged with possessing an offensive weapon. He appeared before magistrates in the city today (Tuesday, April 7).

Police were called to Porter Road, Abbey, at around 5.30pm on Saturday, April 4 following a report that two men had attacked another two men and the victims had been stabbed.

Two men were seen running toward Byron Street following the assault.

The victims, aged 19 and 20, remain in hospital in a stable condition.
