Officers try to trace potential witness to criminal damage outside the Silk Mill Museum

Officers investigating a report of criminal damage outside the Silk Mill Museum are trying to trace a passer-by who alerted staff to the crime.

At around 4pm on Saturday, April 4, a vandal threw a paving slab at the front windscreen of a Ford Mondeo parked near to the entrance of the Silk Mill, in Full Street, Derby, causing it to smash.

A member of the public went into the museum to report the damage but they did not leave their details. Police are trying to trace this person in case they have information which could help the investigation.
