Police appeal for witnesses after a 15-year-old is assaulted in Alfreton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was assaulted in Alfreton.

On Tuesday, April 7 between 4pm and 6pm a boy was on Grange Park Recreation Ground, near to Grange Street when he was approached by a group of youngsters.

One of the boys in the group, has allegedly pushed the boy into a wall and then punched him in the face.

The victim suffered a broken cheek bone and cuts and bruises.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Lucy Bell at Amber Valley CID on 101 quoting crime reference number 14459/15.
