Paramedics were called to The Mitre pub, off Spider Island, Allenton, at about 3pm on Sunday, December 13.

“It’s possible that someone might have seen it happen, or might have seen the person responsible in the area before or after.

“It’s a very serious incident and I would urge anyone who might have information that could help us to come forward immediately.

“You can either call police, or you can leave information completely anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
