A 22-year-old man was found near Derby Auto Centre, in Burton Road, in the early hours of Monday, December 14.

He remains in a critical but stable condition at Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham.

It is unclear how the man came about his injuries but it is thought he might have walked from the West End area of the city to the place he was found.

Leaflets have now been produced asking anyone who might have information to come forward.

Police also want to hear from anyone who has private CCTV in the surrounding area, or roads that lead from Burton Road to the city centre.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting incident 206 of December 16.

You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident yesterday and has been bailed pending further inquiries.
