Appeal for witnesses after disturbance at Heanor house

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man tried to force his way into a house in Heanor.

The incident took place at a property in Loscoe Road at about 4pm on Wednesday, December 30.

The occupants went to answer the door but were confronted by a man who tried to get in.

After a brief struggle in the hallway, the offender ran off towards Heanor town centre.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the incident take place, or might have seen the suspect running away around that time. He was described as white.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting incident 388 of December 30.

A 36-year-old man was arrested in connection with the offence and remains in police custody.
