Man attempts to steal computer games from Clowne supermarket

Police have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an attempt theft at a supermarket in ChesterfieldClowne-Tesco-attempt-theft-1-3750-15.

An appeal for information has been released after a man attempted to steal computer games from a supermarket.

On Tuesday, January 27 at 7.15am a man entered Tesco on Green Way in Clowne. He picked up a number of Playstation 4 games and put them into a handbag before attempting to exit the store.

A security guard chased the man and he threw the bag leaving the games behind. He was seen to get into a red Vauxhall Astra and drive out of the car park.

The man was described as mixed race, in his 20s with light brown hair. He was wearing a red hooded top with dark coloured trousers and trainers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Andy Brooks at Bolsover police station on 101.
