Armed robbery suspect arrested in Ripley

Police officers involved in the investigation into an armed robbery at a bank in Matlock have arrested a suspect.

The 33-year-old man, who lives in Matlock, was arrested by officers in Ripley town centre shortly before midday today (Thursday February 26), on suspicion of armed robbery, and will be questioned this afternoon.

The robbery happened at 2.30pm on Wednesday February 18 at the Royal Bank of Scotland on Snitterton Road in Matlock.
