Man charged with attempted murder after alleged assault in Sinfin

A man has been charged with attempted murder and causing actual bodily harm in connection with an alleged assault in Derby.

A 23-year-old woman received serious head and facial injuries at an address in Bramblehedge Drive, Sinfin, yesterday.

She was treated at the scene and taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where she remains in a serious condition.

Christopher Magee was arrested in connection with the incident and has now been charged with attempted murder.

The 29-year-old, of Keyhaven Close, Derby, has also been charged with causing actual bodily harm in relation to an alleged assault of the victim in January.

He is due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court at 10am on Saturday, February 28.
