Men arrested on suspicion of burglary thanks to vigilant neighbour

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a vigilant neighbour called police when she saw people acting suspiciously.

Police were called to a house in Linacres Drive, Chellaston, at 10.20am on Tuesday, February 3, following reports of four men in the garden of a house.

Officers were dispatched to the scene, supported by the force helicopter, and two men were arrested. Property from the house was found nearby.

A 17-year-old and 19-year-old remain in custody and are being questioned by officers.
