Youth tries to snatch woman's purse in Chaddesden

A youth tried to snatch a woman’s purse as she walked home from the shop.

At around 7.15pm on Friday, February 6, a woman was walking along Reginald Road South, Chaddesden, when a youth approached her from behind.

He tried to take her purse from her hand and the pair struggled briefly before the teen ran off empty-handed.

She has described him as white, 5ft 7ins tall, slim and in his mid to late teens. He wore a pale woolly hat, dark jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms.
