Man has phone stolen in Alvaston

Police are appealing for information about a robbery in Alvaston on Christmas Eve.

At about 1.40am on Wednesday December 24 a 30-year-old local man was walking along an alleyway between Shardlow Road and Thruxton Close when he was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette.  The stranger walked with the man for a short distance before threatening him and demanding his phone. 

The victim handed over his black Apple iPhone 4S but was not injured.

The suspect is described as being white, about 5ft 10ins tall, with very short blonde hair and a thin face.  He was wearing a black beanie hat, a black waterproof jacket, a funnel neck top and black bottoms.  He ran off towards Thruxton Close.
