Police appeal for information after mobile phone theft during Derby County away fixture

Police have released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft of a mobile phone from a McDonald’s restaurant. Middlesbrough-McDonalds-CCTV1

The incident took place at a branch of the fast food chain in Middlesbrough when Derby County were playing there in December.

A man walked into the staff room at the restaurant in Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, at about 5pm on Saturday, December 13.

Cleveland Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

It has been issued in Derbyshire in case any travelling Rams fans might recognise the man.

PC Gareth Chalmers, from Cleveland Police, said: “The town centre will have been busy that day with shoppers and football fans who had attended the Middlesbrough FC match against Derby County. Middlesbrough-McDonalds-CCTV2

“We would ask anyone who may know the identity of the man to contact police on 101.”
