Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was punched in the face during an attempted robbery.
The 15-year-old victim was walking along a path near Great Northern Road, Derby, when he was asked for the time.
The offender then tried to grab his phone but when the victim refused, the robber punched him a number of times in the face before running off towards Uttoxeter New Road.
The would-be robber was black, about 5ft 10ins, aged in his late teens or early 20s, with black hair that was shaved short. He was wearing a waist-length dark black and blue puffer jacket with stitched squares all over it.
Police want to hear for witnesses or anyone who might know the person responsible for the robbery, which happened between 9.10am and 9.25am on Wednesday, January 14.
The victim was not seriously injured in the offence.
