Appeal for information after incident in Sinfin

Police are appealing for information after a man was allegedly held against his will and told to hand over cash.

The 19-year-old victim was approached by a group of men in Buller Street, Derby, on the evening of Monday, January 19.

He was threatened and taken to Normanton Park, before being taken by car from Warwick Avenue to Breedon Avenue, in Sunny Hill.

The victim was taken on foot to an address in Montrose Close, Sinfin. He was later released and made his way to Sinfin Lane.

Two men, aged 20 and 45, have been arrested in connection with the offence and bailed pending further inquiries.

Detectives investigating the incident are keen to speak to the driver of a white Volkswagen Passat, which was believed to be present when the group were dropped off in Breedon Avenue.

Officers also want to speak to the driver of a red Toyota Yaris that the victim tried to flag down in Sinfin Lane.

The events are believed to have taken place between 7pm and 10pm.
