Man charged in connection with five Derby crimes

A man has been charged with five crimes in Derby.

Simon Bentley has been charged with an attempted burglary at the Standing Order and a burglary at The Thomas Leaper, both in Iron Gate.

He has also been charged with burglaries at Nandos, in the Market Place, at The Babington Arms, in Babington Lane and an assault at Pound Stretcher, in Bradshaw Way.

The alleged offences all took place on Sunday, January 25.

Mr Bentley (37), of Crewe Street, Derby, is due before magistrates in the city today (Tuesday, January 27).
