Woman has handbag stolen in street robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was threatened by a robber who stole her handbag.

The 29-year-old victim was walking in Bradshaw Way, Derby, at about 6.25am yesterday when she was approached by a man.

He threatened her and grabbed her handbag from her shoulder before running off towards Lara Croft Way.

The offender was white, of thin build, and was wearing a white or cream tracksuit top with the hood up and dark trousers.

The bag was light brown in colour and medium sized.

Police investigating the robbery want to hear from witnesses or anyone who might have seen suspicious activity around the time of the offence.

Officers also want to know if anyone has found a similar bag discarded in the area.
