Posted on 28th January 2015

Police appeal for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Codnor.

On Monday, January 26 at 5.10pm a man was driving along the A610, Nottingham Road, near to George’s fish and chip restaurant, when he saw a man in a car behind him driving very close to his car.

The traffic came to a standstill and the man in the car sounded his horn for the driver to move out of the way. When the driver didn’t move the man got out and dragged the driver from his car, shouted at him and head butted him 3 times.

The man got back in his car, turned it around and made off towards Eastwood.

He was described as in his 50s with blonde spikey hair that was receding.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Sean Davis at Ripley police station using the non-emergency 101 number.
