Update: Traffic Street reopened following collision

Posted on 31st July 2015

Police have lifted the closure on Traffic Street and Liversage Street, following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

A Seat Ibiza was involved in the incident, close to the Marks and Spencer store in the Intu Derby centre, at about 1pm today.

A pedestirna suffered serious head and leg injuries and was taken to Queen's Medical Centre, in Nottingham, where she remains in a critical condition.

Police closed a section of Traffic Street and part of Liversage Street while an investigation was carried out and the vehicle recovered.

Both roads have now been reopened but there are likely to be delays for some time.
