Witness appeal after large haul of jewellery is stolen from Swadlincote home

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary in which a substantial amount of gold jewellery was stolen.

Burglars broke into a house in Burton Road, Castle Gresley, Swadlincote, between 7am and about 6pm on Tuesday, February 3.

A large amount of jewellery was then taken from inside.

Detectives investigating the offence want to hear from witnesses or anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area.

Two men, aged 21 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in police custody.
