Woman comes forward after pub assault CCTV appeal

Posted on 4th March 2015

A woman has contacted police following an appeal for information on an assault at a Derby pub.

CCTV images were released yesterday of a woman officers wanted to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened at the Paddock pub in Mansfield Road.

The victim, aged 29, suffered a minor head injury during the assault.

After the appeal for information, a woman contacted police and was interviewed at St Mary’s Wharf last night.

She was not arrested, and has been released without charge.

Police want to hear from any witnesses to the assault, which happened in the main bar area after an argument broke out between the victim and two women.

The incident took place on the evening of November 28.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 51123/14.

You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
