Mountain bike stolen from 12-year-old as he cycled through Allenton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old was robbed of his mountain bike as he rode along a road in Allenton.

The victim was cycling along Osmaston Road, close to the Ascot Hotel, when he was kicked by one of a group of youths.

He fell off his bike, which had a grey frame with black and red towards the pedals, and it was then stolen.

Detectives investigating the robbery want to hear from anyone who may know there whereabouts of the bike, or the person responsible.

The robbery took place at about 5pm on Thursday, February 12.
