Two men charged in connection with Hathersage bank robbery

Police in Humberside have charged two men in connection with a bank robbery in Hathersage.

On Tuesday, March 03 Jordan Lee Christopher Lydon (23) of Clee Road, Cleethorpes and Michael Francis Lydon (50) of Donnington Street, Grimsby were charged with three counts of conspiring to commit robbery. The charge also relates to a robbery at TSB Bank in Bridlington.

They were charged in connection with the robbery at the Hathersage branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland that took place on 20 February, 2014, and an attempt burglary at the Darley Dale branch in August 2014.

The men appeared at Beverley Magistrates Court yesterday (Wednesday, March 04) and was remanded in custody to appear at Hull Crown Court on Wednesday, March 18.
